Jaipur, September 10 Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma said that rates of hotels have been fixed in the State for the asymptomatic corona patients who want to stay in private rooms.
The State Government has authorised the selected hospitals to send such patients to hotels after necessary tests.
Dr Sharma said that those patients who do not have any symptoms and whose condition is not critical too need monitoring of doctors and separate rooms. The Government knowing the intention of the general public has authorised hotel rooms for Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000 and Rs 3,000 per day, which will provide all necessary and medical facilities to patients of this category.
The Health Minister said that earlier during the treatment of corona the private hospitals were charging excessively, so stopping this practice the rates have been fixed. He said that the interest of people is the priority for the Government. The Government during the time of corona will not miss taking every step that provides relief to the common man.
Government is also focusing on villages and towns
The Health Minister said that the State Government along with the cities has made an effective strategy to prevent corona in villages and towns also. He said apart from providing a separate OPD for suspected COVID-19 patients, it is being ensured to provide a testing facility, referral transport for serious patients and oxygen etc at all the block level community health centres in the State. He said after screening the suspected corona patients through pulse oximeter and thermal scanner etc., their home isolation or institutional quarantine and testing is being done as per requirement. He said directions have been issued to make necessary arrangements for oxygen while taking the patients with respiratory problems to the concerned COVID Care Hospital and to arrange MMU or 104 ambulance for referral. First resolution is to bring death rate to zero
The Health Minister said that the Chief Minister during the COVID resolved that no person should lose life due to corona. This is the reason that the Government is providing lifesaving injections worth Rs 40,000 free of cost to the serious patients. Recovery ratio of Rajasthan is better compared to other States. At present, more than 80% of patients have gone home after getting recovered. Even the fatality rate due to corona in the State is declining day by day. He said that serious patients are being given new lease of life through Plasma Therapy in the medical colleges. He appealed to more and more people who have recovered from corona to donate plasma.
Appeal to follow the corona protocol
The Health Minister said cases of corona are increasing in the entire country including Rajasthan, yet some people are careless and are not following the corona protocol. At this time of infection, moving out without wearing a mask and gathering in a group could increase the infection in you and the general public. He said taking precautions is the only treatment to avoid corona.
